Next Up Hero Beta: A Fun and Challenging 2D Action Adventure Game

Next Up Hero Beta is a 2D action adventure game developed by Digital Continue, inspired by arcade games where friends take turns to beat unfairly difficult games. In this game, you can choose from nine heroes with different weapons and abilities, from swords and rocket launchers to bongo drums and boomerangs, to suit your playstyle.

The game is driven by Community Continue, a cutting-edge style of cooperative play, where beating community sessions is a shared achievement and more fun than playing on your own. When you die in the game, you leave behind an Echo of your hero on the battlefield, which the next hero in line can resurrect as an AI battle companion. Players take turns continuing each other's games, fighting and dying with friends until they have an entire army of Echoes by their side.

Next Up Hero Beta is currently in an exclusive closed beta at RTX this summer, with Steam Early Access coming in the fall. Digital Continue will incorporate community ideas to improve characters, gameplay, weapons, attacks, and enemy types for the final game. The game supports various gamepads, including Logitech RumblePad™ 2, Microsoft® Xbox® One Controller, and SONY® PS4 DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller (Wired).
